March 2019- Reflection♡ 31/03/2019 During the month of March, we made a start on a new media, Radio, and refined our analysis on Television. I really enjoyed the unit of Television as it enhanced my knowledge on theory and also makes me observe the story line/narrative of the shows that I watch in my free time. Additionally, we finished our teaser trailers. I am very happy with how mine turned out. I named my TV show 'Twisted Fates' featuring 2 female and 1 male actors, portrayed by my very helpful friends. I think it could definitely be improved in terms of the settings, props and costumes however, it would require quite difficult skills. Unfortunately, I did not make use of props but initially, I was planning to use a fake gun for the hero but I couldn't find one anywhere therefore, in the fight scene of my teaser trailer, the hero and villain fought physically. I ended the shot as soon as they were about to clash to generate curiosity amongst the viewers. Overall, I really enjoyed learning about how television has evolved since the old days.
In photography, we submitted our album covers and received the brief for our new project which will last till summer. The main idea is to produce a final piece which incorporates at least 2, or more of our original pictures and if needed, pictures from the internet. It is supposed to look eerie and other-worldly. We looked into artists such as Jerry Uelsmann and his 'double exposure' pieces for inspiration. The whole project will be based around double exposure work done by other people, however it is not a recreation piece and must be an original idea.
