November 2018- Reflection♡ 25/11/2018 Today, we were given a homework for which we had to complete the Myers-Briggs personality test. I took a picture of the results, as shown below. The 'Consul' personality type makes up 12% of the world. 'Consuls' are likely to be the cheerleaders, the ones who lead their team to victory. I think I am quite quiet however, can definitely run and lead my team whenever necessary by delegating roles and succeeding. People with this personality thrive to stay up to date and therefore are quite social. I received a statistics saying I was 79% extraverted which I agree with, to some extent. I can be quite talkative around the people I am comfortable with and the ones who I know will understand me well, but I can be quite quiet and timid when I'm around people I don't know very well. It also says that I am 69% observant which against links to the urge of wanting to always stay up to data which I agree with about myself. After doing this test, the role which I received was 'Sentinel' and my strategy was 'Social Engagement'. Unlike diplomats, consuls like myself prefer to take authority and set down rules which everyone follows, similar to a hierarchy however, they keep things subtle and allow everyone to feel stable and accepted. I think this applies to me as well because whenever I am leading a group, I like to set down rules, delegate roles and make sure everybody has a task depending on their ability (creating a hierarchy based on work ethic) so the 'Consul' personality fits me really well. This could affect the way in which I perceive specific medias. For example, a consul is usually quite expressive with their feelings so I'd probably feel empathy for the characters of a series during a plot twist.
