Front cover:
For my front cover, I decided to do a photoshoot at the beach which worked out extremely well. Recently, the idea of Golden hour, an hour before sunset where the sunlight makes your skin glow, has been very trendy so I decided to photograph my model under the golden sunlight. This gives my magazine cover a very natural vibe and also shows that the model can be photographed anywhere, a studio as well as out in nature. I used a mid shot because it allows most of the readers focus to be on who the actual featuring model is. So when people would se the front cover, rather than admiring the model's body figure, her outfit or her skin tone, the reader would be more so focused on her face and who she actually is. |
Print Advert:
For my advertisement, I decided to do Ralph Lauren and advertised their bags out of a variety of types of the products that the brand sells. I wanted to do their bags because it contrasted with the theme of my magazine which was trendy, fashionable, staying up to date and anything that's currently popular. I looked up several examples of Ralph Lauren adverts however, it was very hard to resemble the complex house style without professional photography equipment. Therefore, I decided to keep it simple but I don't think it matches the general stereotype of adverts for bags. Nonetheless, I think it turned out well according to my theme but it could be improved. |
